Jose “Ray” Riojas, Sr., 35, of Port Arthur, Texas was tragically taken away, Wednesday, January 22, 2020. Ray was born January 9, 1985 in Galveston, Texas to Juan Francisco Riojas, Sr. and Ester Ruiz Riojas. Ray was a supervisor for a chemical plant, he founded 409 Boyz Production and was a DJ on the weekends. Ray’s passion in life was his family and making music. He was a hard-working man who was humble and had a great sense of humor.
Those left behind to cherish his memories his loving wife, Sylvia Todora Riojas of Port Arthur, TX; children, Jose “Ray” Riojas, Jr., Jason Riojas, Freddy Artola, Jr., Sofia Riojas and Brandon Riojas; parents, Francisco and Ester Riojas; sister, Delma Castro and husband, Jose; brothers, Jimmy Moreno, Orlando Moreno, Sammy Moreno, Ricky Moreno, Rudy Moreno and wife, Cindy, David Moreno and wife, Annie, Johnny Riojas and wife, Elizabeth; and a host of friends and relatives.
A gathering of friends and family will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, January 27, 2020, at Melancon’s Funeral Home, Nederland, TX. A Celebration of Ray’s life will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 28, 2020, at Melancon’s Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
