Joseph Benoit, 91, of Groves, Texas passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at Mid Jefferson Extended Care Hospital in Nederland. Joseph was born August 30, 1928 in Port Neches, Texas to Oscar Benoit and Virginia Pellerin Benoit. Joseph was a lifelong area resident and member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He was the owner of Kwik Chek Grocery in Groves for 58 years. Joseph proudly served his country in the U. S. Air Force. Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Flo Benoit of Groves; daughter, Rae Ann Anderson and husband Warren of Groves; sons, Dean Benoit and wife Velma of Port Arthur, and Ricky Benoit of Austin; sister, Velva Allison of Lake Charles, LA; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. A visitation for family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 16, 2019 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
