When I started to think of a memory to post about, so many came to mind. So many many dinners, so many times we stripped down a salon and reassembled it down the street. Even after his stroke, he supervised me disassembling the shower bowls. His and Karen’s attendance at my wedding, and the small “reception” we had at their house. When he asked all my coworkers at the plant if they knew me, and found out they didn’t because he had been calling me by my maiden name not knowing it wasn’t my real name. He was a good man, and a faithful friend, and a great cook. He is and will be missed. Thank you all for sharing him with me.

I had the opportunity to befriend Joe in Houston. He was always so hard working and joyful, funny, and always making a special treat at his home and bringing it to Houston to share with his therapists. Joe was likable; something about him that just made you like him immediately. He had a great laugh and sense of humor. Although it has been almost 6 years since we left Houston, his memory always brings a smile to my face. One of those unforgetable "characters" you meet on life's highway, and one who will never be forgotten. Moshe Mark Ittleman

Joe was a cousin on my dad's side and a friend since Catholic school. He called many a dance for mom and dad; we're sad to see him go. Joe and dad are probably talking square dancing now. Rest in peace, cuz; and say "hey" to pops for me. Craig Sexton
