Joseph Ray Deslatte, 39, of Groves, Texas passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2017. Joseph was born March 28, 1978 in Nederland, Texas to Rickey Dale Deslatte and Sharon Dianne Reeves Deslatte. Joseph was employed by Subway in maintenance. He coached many years in Junior League Football and Little League Baseball. He was preceded in death by his wife, Melissa Deslatte; and grandparents, Ervine and Bernice Deslatte. Survivors include his parents, Rickey and Sharon Deslatte of Groves; daughter, Destiny Deslatte; son, Gavin Deslatte; brother, Joshua Deslatte of Georgia; grandparents, Arnold Ray Reeves and LyNell Reeves of Louisiana; nieces, Angelina and Arianna Deslatte. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Reverend Kenneth Powell officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday evening from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Rick & Sharon, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Joey. I remember him as a little boy, when I used to sit next to you at the PNG home games! He was fortunate to have such wonderful parents. It is terrible that he passed away at such a young age. You are in my prayers. God Bless.
