Joseph "Joe" Warren Vanderweg

Joseph “Joe” Warren Vanderweg, 73, of Nederland, Texas passed away May 16, 2020. He was born in Huntington, West Virginia on December 24, 1946 to the late Babe Vanderweg and Virginia Ethel Godwin. He served his country proudly in the U. S. Navy and was a member of First Baptist Church in Port Neches. Joe owned the Jiffy Trophy.
Those left to cherish Joe’s memory are his wife, Darla Rios Vanderweg of Nederland; his sons, Mike Vanderweg and his wife Maddie of Nederland and Colby Vanderweg and his wife Gina of Port Neches; his step-daughter, Mollie Falcon and her husband Steven of Lake Charles, LA; his grandchildren, Kaylie, Haylie, Baylie, Brenna, Michael, Justin Kashton, and Christian; and his great-granddaughter, Braisley. He is preceded in death by his parents, George “Babe” Vanderweg and Virginia Vanderweg.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, May 24, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland. Funeral Services will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home on Monday, May 25, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
