Joey was always so kind to me and my family. He was very proud of his children and grandchildren and would tell me many great stories about his time with them at the gym where i would often see him. He was a true family man and never seemed to meet a stranger. We will miss you Joey

I know Joey through my sister, his friend. And he was such a good friend to her. After she faced some health challenges, he would offer to do things for her that she no longer could do. He might mow the yard or stop by for a socially distanced front porch chat, during the pandemic, when she couldn't get out. I don't know if he realized how much that can mean to someone who is forced into lockdown for many months. He is a true friend, offering his strength and time for the people around him. I'm praying for your family to be comforted.

I met Joey @1974... Lots of people from several neighborhoods would meet up at Oxford field to play sports and create mischief... The Bonsall boys were super athletic.. they could run really fast and they were fearless! Joey was always funny and kind ... I am praying for his family to find comfort and strength in the days ahead

What a sweet sweet man full of love and laughter!! So many memories of him at Halloween, pulling out all the stops for his girls and those grandbabies! My favorite was the Beatles with full band and bus lol, so so awesome. He couldn't have been a better father and grandfather, and we were all just so blessed to know him. Praying for you Bonsalls, we love you so much! You now have the coolest angel watching over you 😇😎🥰.
