Joseph Ray “Trace” Clay III, 51, of Nederland, Texas passed away June 27, 2020. He was born in Port Arthur, Texas on August 3, 1968 to Joseph Ray Clay, Jr. and Brenda Kay Marshall Clay.
Those left to cherish Trace’s memory are his mother, Brenda Kay Distefeno of Nederland; his brothers, Eric Clay and his wife Debra of Austin and Nick Distefano of Austin; his grandmother, Elnora Marshall of Fannett; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland. Funeral services will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home on Friday, July 3, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. A graveside service will be held following the service at 3:00 p.m. at Bethany Cemetery in Colmesneil, Texas.
In lieu of usual remembrances, contributions may be given to help defray funeral expenses. This would be greatly appreciated.
