Joseph Lyle Sweeney II, 76, of Port Neches, Texas passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at his home. Joseph was born April 2, 1943 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Joseph Lyle Sweeney, Sr. and Marie Verrett Sweeney. He was a lifelong resident of this area and a retired Operator with Gulf-Chevron-Phillips. Joseph was a member of the Gypsy Motorcycle Club and a US Army Vietnam Veteran serving with the Seabees. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches. Surviving relatives include his wife, Nancy Sweeney of Port Neches, Texas; daughters, Lisa Anderson and Lori Sweeney Weekly both of LaBelle, Texas; son, Russell Sweeney of LaBelle, Texas; sister, Debra Norman and husband Bruce of Willis, Texas; brother, Randel Sweeney and wife Debbie of Nederland, Texas; 9 grandchildren, Amanda, Sarah, Brandel, Joey, Christopher, Andrew, Lauren, Karen, and Kaitlyn; and 14 great grandchildren.
