Joseph "Kent" Trahan, 59, of Seabrook, Texas formerly of Port Arthur passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at the Medical Center Port Arthur. Kent was born on February 6, 1958 in Port Arthur to the late Asa and Betty Comeaux Trahan. He was an Operator Lead Shift Supervisor for Petromax.

Kent is survived by his daughter, Kara Ross and her husband, Ryan of Port Neches; son, Justin Trahan and his wife, April of Nederland; brother, Kerry Trahan his wife, Rosetta of Port Neches; sisters, Lynda Trahan of Roundtop, Hope Hallmark of Nederland, and Jolita Trahan of Florence, Italy; and grandchildren, Parker Ross, Collin Ross, and Rowan Trahan. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Toni Trahan Brozowski.

There will be a gathering of family and friends on Saturday, December 23, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with the funeral service to start at 1:00 p.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland with Ricky Darbonne officiating. A private graveside service will follow.

So sorry to hear of Kent's passing away. I remember him from high school and CYO at St. Catherine's. Always such a nice guy, great smile and great laugh! The TJ Class of 76 has lost a great classmate. The Spirit of 76 goes with him.
