Sending thoughts and prayers to the entire Verret family. I have had the pleasure of knowing this family my entire life. Growing up in Port Arthur we were neighbors and friends. In later years I had the privledge of meeting and becoming friends with Mr. Verrets beautiful granddaughter Ashley. We worked together for years until my retirement. She spoke affectionately about her dear Grandfather and my heart goes out to sweet Ashley and her wonderful family during this difficult time. I pray that God wrap his arms around you and give all of you peace.

Our families were neighbors growing up close to DeQueen School. Jack was the big brother and I was closer in age to his sister. But all families in that block were close. God Bless him and his family.

A true "one of a kind." A tough exterior with a soft inside, he loved his family and was proud of all of them.I will cherish my many conversations with him about business, politics, and faith. May God bring his family and all who loved him peace, comfort, and fond memories.

Our prayers go out to the family and friends of Mr. Verret. He was a very good hard working man, we will always remember that he went up and beyond to help us (new nieghbors)when we first moved into the neighborhood nine years ago. He will be greatly missed. I will miss him calling for his dogs in the yard. May God keep and hold the family with his strength and love. Carlos Armstrong and family
