Joseph Harold Vincent, 85, of Groves passed away, Friday, September 13, 2013 at Gulf Health Care in Port Arthur.

Joseph was born May 14, 1928 in Leroy, Louisiana to Oliar and Lilly Vincent and lived most of his life in the Groves area. He retired from Jefferson Chemical Company as an Operator, and served his country in the U.S. Army.

Funeral services will be 2:30 PM Sunday, September 15, 2013 at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland with Rev. David Abshire officiating. The family will gather with their friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM prior to the service.

Joseph was preceded in death by his brother, Warner Vincent. He is survived by his son Michael Vincent of Port Neches; two daughters, Karen Borne and her husband Joe of Groves, and Donna LeBlanc and her husband Ricky of Port Neches; sister, Rosalie Miller of Abbeville, Louisiana; six grandchildren, Melissa Butler, Jenny Reese, Jason Borne, April McDonald, Ashley LeBlanc, and Ricky LeBlanc. Also nine great grandchildren.
