She was a member of St. Therese the Little Flower of Jesus Christ Catholic Church in Port Acres.A gathering of family and friends will be held at Melancon39s Funeral Home, 1605 Avenue H in Nederland Thursday, August 11, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at St. Therese the Little Flower of Jesus Christ Catholic Church in Port Acres on Friday, August 12, 2011 at 10: a.m., Father Rejimon George officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves, Texas.She is preceded in death by her parents and sister Carmella Oliver. DeeDee is survived by her husband, Lee Roy Tomplait of Port Acres 2 sons, Michael Tomplait and wife Deborah of Nederland and Vince Tomplait of Port Acres grandson, Jeremy Tomplait 3 greatgrandchildren, Dalton Mears Tomplait, Joseph Conner Tomplait, and Julie Isabelle Tomplait niece Deborah Smith and nephew Gary Oliver.Special thanks to the entire Tomplait family for all the love and support that was given for DeeDee. So sorry to hear about Josie. She was a very sweet person and will always remember her for her kindness. Also remember her curling my hair when she lived next door to my father and mother on eight street in 1946.
