Josie Harrington, 94, of Hemphill, passed away Friday, October 19, 2018 at Shady Shores Nursing and Rehab Center in Hemphill, Texas. She was born on November 8, 1923 in Columbia, Louisiana to Marshall Mitchell and Emeline Keene Mitchell. Josie had lived in Port Arthur for over 50 years before moving to Hemphill 5 years ago. She was retired as a bank clerk from First National Bank in Port Arthur after 23 years of service. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 22, 2018 at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. Josie was preceded in death by her first husband, John Andrews, Sr., second husband, Robert Earl Harrington and sister, Naomi Harvey. She is survived by her son, John Andrews and wife Jalane of Hemphill, TX, daughter, Ann McTaggart and husband Gary of Grand Cayman, sister, Opal Neusetzer of Baker, LA, niece, Beverly Benoit of Shreveport, La, six grandchildren, Melisa Thompson and husband Gene of Grand Cayman, Michelle McTaggart of Boston, MA, Gary Mark McTaggart and wife Sara of Carnation, WA, Paulette Thomas of Texas City, TX, Greg Andrews and wife Sara of Virginia Beach, VA and Jonathan Andrews of Corsicana, TX, and seven great grandchildren, Kasey Cummins, Alex Andrews, Ryan McTaggart, Katelyn Merren, Holly Thompson, Bowen Andrews and Gray Andrews.
