Joyce Darlene Reed, 70, of Port Neches passed away October 29, 2012 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur. She was born October 11, 1942 in Beaumont to the late Edwin Wallace and Mary Helen Alcus Reed.Funeral services will be held at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 3324 Park Dr. in Nederland on Thursday, November 1, 2012 at 2:00 p.m., Rev. Patrick Hunter officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the church from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.Joyce is survived by her sister, Alice Engle of Pasadena niece, Barbara Chandler of Pasadena greatnephew, Jonathan Abner and wife, Crystal of Pasadena and greatniece, Kaylee Chandler of Pasadena.

We will miss Darlene very much. She was special to the Agape Sunday School Class of Hillcrest Baptist Church.What a blessing it was to know her. I was glad she was not alone at the end, when she went to be with the Lord. Thank you Darlene for the memories
