Joyce Elizabeth Evans, 89 passed on to be with our Lord, Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at her home in Groves, Texas. She was born January 30, 1924 in Port Arthur, Texas and was a lifelong area resident. Joyce enjoyed bowling, playing chicken foot, cooking and spending time with her wonderful friends. Survivors include sons, Barry Evans and wife Linda, and David Evans and wife Tammie; sister, Barbara Jean Cutrer; grandson, Michael Evans; step-grandson, Chris Laine and wife Liz; dearest friend V.J. Willis. A visitation for family and friends will be Friday, August 30, 2013 from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. A Graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 31, 2013 at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves with Reverend Rick Conrad pastor of New Song Covenant Church. Joyce will be so very missed by all.
