Juanita H. Bain

Juanita H. Bain, 93, passed away January 17, 2015 after a brief illness. She was born on October 17, 1921 in Slaton, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband Lucian Bain, her father and mother, Russell and Aria Edna Ham and her brother, Billy Mark Ham. She is survived by cousins, Jayna Holley and husband, Clint and Mark Boyd and fianc, Lisa Lakner. Juanita was a graduate of the Cooper High School Class of 1939 in Cooper, Texas and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University-Commerce in 1943. She was an elementary school teacher and retired from teaching at Robert E. Lee Elementary School in Port Arthur. Juanita was a member and former Sunday School teacher at First Baptist Church of Groves. Graveside services will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Joe Worley and Reverend Charles Miller officiating under the direction of Levingston Funeral Home in Groves.
