Judie Darlene Glidewell passed away peacefully with family by her side on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at the North Cypress Medical Center in Cypress, Texas. Judie is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Myron Glidewell; her son Scott Glidewell and wife Tina; two grandsons Mason and Blaze Glidewell of Cypress, Texas; a sister, Beth DeCuir of Groves, Texas; nieces Amy Murphy of Groves, Texas and Ashley Peltier and husband Justin of Groves, Texas; and two great-nieces Reese and Ryann Peltier of Groves, Texas. She was born on September 30, 1947 to the late Calvin and Marlene McKay of Groves, Texas. Judie was a graduate of Port Neches- Groves High School as well as Port Arthur Business College. She retired from an accomplished career as the Insurance Casualty Claims Manager at Sysco Corporation in 1995. The beaches of Hawaii and the snow topped mountains of Colorado were Judie's favorite places to frequent and their beauty was only enhanced by her presence there. She and husband Myron had an abundant passion for travel and adventure. The family will welcome friends to celebrate Judie's life on Tuesday, December 13th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches, Texas. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 14th, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
