Judith “Judy” Marie Morrison, 64, of Lumberton and formerly of Nederland passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, Texas with her loving family at her side.
Judy was born on April 25, 1959, in Port Arthur, Texas to Lillie Jo Roccaforte Reeves and Gerald M. Reeves, Sr. She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Beaumont and was a retired secretary for the Nederland I.S.D. for twenty-eight years. Judy was a parishioner of St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church in Beaumont.
She enjoyed watching her 5 grandsons play baseball. She also enjoyed going to their camp at Toledo Bend Lake and going to the beach.
Survivors include: her husband of 45 years and the love of her life, Jerry Morrison of Lumberton; son Justin Morrison and wife Britney of Lumberton; daughter Jana Zant and husband Casey of Nederland, grandchildren, Hunter Morrison, Tucker Morrison, Tyler Morrison, Cooper Zant, Carter Zant; niece Heather Placette and husband Rick of Lumberton; nephew Jeremy Reeves and wife Paige of Orangefield.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Lillie Jo Reeves, Sr. and her brother, Gerald Reeves, Jr.
A gathering of family and friends will take place from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at Melancon Funeral Home in Nederland. Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at Melancon Funeral Home with burial to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches, Texas.
The family would like to extend their love and sincere appreciation to Nancy and Tony Resendez, who have been there for us and are truly a part of our family.
They would also like to thank her care team while Judy was at Harbor Hospice of Beaumont. Her care team was truly amazing and took wonderful care of Judy.
