Judy M. Estes, 70, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away January 13, 2014 at her home. She was born in Morgan City, Louisiana on August 10, 1943 to the late Sidney and Mary Cram Vicknair.
Funeral services will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Kyle Trahan and Rev. Everett McCollum officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at the funeral home.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Byron Estes of Port Arthur; daughters, Sherry Estes of Port Arthur, Colinda McCollum and husband Richard of Lumberton, Sandra Estes and husband Jackie of Bridge City, Corrina Reed and husband Josh of Groves, Carrie Trahan and husband Kyle of Port Neches, Terrie Scott and husband Shawn of Orlando, FL; son, Curtis Estes of Fred; brother, Wally Vicknair of Abilene; sisters, Sherry Gautreaux of Baton Rouge, LA, Doris Bowman of Deer Park, and Sandra Jarl of Santa Fe; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and many close friends.
