Judith Ann “Judy” Finnicum, 72, of Port Neches, passed away Friday, May 28, 2021. Judy was born May 13, 1949 in Keokuk, Iowa to the late Eugene and Joan Christian. She was known as “Ya Ya” and “Me Maw” to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Judy was a parishioner at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and a member of the Altar Society. Her hobbies included crocheting, puzzles, scratch off tickets and visiting the casino.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Joanne Finnicum.
Those left behind to cherish Judy’s memory are her husband of 22 years, Chuck Finnicum of Port Neches, Texas; daughters, Patty Stoker of Longview, Texas; Teresa Crabbs and her husband, Jeff of Nederland, Texas; Margaret Frederick and her husband, Kevin of Port Neches, Texas; son, Daniel Roberts and his wife, Melanie of Port Neches, Texas; grandchildren, Kristi Schumann and her husband, David of Kilgore, Texas; Jennifer Ermish and her husband, Philip of Tokyo, Japan; Christoffer Robinson and his wife, Jackie of Groves, Texas; Katie Welsh and her husband, Joe of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Laurie Frederick of Port Neches, Texas; Scott Frederick and his wife, Cassie Black of Nederland, Texas; Christian Robinson and his wife, Shelby Burnett of Vidor, Texas; Dylan Roberts and Savannah Roberts. Judy also leaves behind great grandchildren, Briona Tankersly, Evan Schumann, Olivia Schumann, Isabella Schumann, Carson Robinson, Eli Martinez, Gabriel Schumann, Jensen Robinson, Beckett Welsh, Easton Robinson and Haiden Frederick.
A gathering of friends and relatives will be held from 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a rosary to be recited at 5:00 p.m., Monday, May 31, 2021, at Melancon’s Funeral Home. Services for Ms. Judy will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at Melancon’s Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches, Texas.
