Julia M. Whiddon, 86, of Nederland, Texas passed away March 28, 2012 at her residence. She was born in Hallettsville, Texas on March 13, 1926 to the late Joseph Frank and Mary Agnes Campion Brier. She lived in Nederland since 1965 and was a retired L.V.N. at St. Mary39s Hospital, where she served over 10 years. Julia was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 31, 2012 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland, Msgr. Dan Malain celebrant. Interment will follow at Merryville Cemetery in Merryville, Louisiana. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:00p.m.to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 30, 2012 at Melancon39s Funeral Home in Nederland, with a rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m.Julia is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Willie Roy Whiddon. She is survived by her son, Frank Whiddon and wife Geraldine of Orange 3 daughters, Chris Marze and husband, Kenneth of Port Arthur, Mary Susan Fox and husband, Bill, II of Port Arthur, and Theresa Austin and husband, Talmadge of Nederland 12 grandchildren, Christopher Whiddon, Jeffrey Whiddon, Kent Marze, Kelly Marze, Angel Valka, Robin Marze, Misty Marze, Damian Fox, Julie Fox, Caitlin Austin, Cara Austin, and Colton Austin and 18 greatgrandchildren.
