Mynette Marsh, a cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2025, in Groves, Texas. Born on November 14, 1948, in Port Arthur, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Irvin and Opal Huddle. Mynette lived a life rich in love, family, and dedication, touching many hearts along her journey.
Mynette was a devoted school bus driver for Port Neches-Groves Independent School District, where she played a pivotal role in the lives of countless children. Her passion for service was only matched by her love for family. A proud mother, she raised her sons with unwavering support and instilled in them the values of kindness and compassion. Mynette had two sons: Darron Marsh and his wife Tara, residing in Woodville, Texas, and Dustin Marsh and his wife Mindy, of Groves, Texas. Additionally, she found immense joy in her grandchildren: Kortnie and Hunter Breaux, Rylee Marsh, Kelby Marsh, Keaton Marsh, Jaxton Marsh, and Liam Marsh. Her legacy continues to thrive in the laughter of her great-grandchildren, Koleton Breaux and Kamryn Breaux, who brightened her days.
She was known for her warm spirit and cherished the delight of family gatherings, especially during Christmas, her favorite holiday. The happiness she found driving on winding country roads with her beloved husband David Marsh, watching the ships on the Neches River, and rocking on the front porch will forever be treasured memories by those who loved her.
Mynette’s pursuits were many; she took pride in her accomplishments in sewing, painting, and reading, each an expression of her creative spirit. Despite her passing, her vibrant personality and profound love will remain etched in the hearts of all who knew her.
She is predeceased by her husband of fifty-two years, David Marsh, who provided her with a lifetime of love and companionship, and her siblings, including her sister and brother-in-law, Mynone and Melvin DuBois, and her brother, Dwain Huddle.
Mynette Marsh's life was a testament to the values of family and love. She leaves a legacy of cherished moments and unforgettable memories that will continue to resonate within her family members and friends.
A visitation will be held on April 8, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM, both at the funeral home located at Melancon Levingston Funeral Home, 5601 39th St, Groves, TX 77619. Following the service Mynette will be honored at a graveside service at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches, Texas.
