June Marie McCord

      June Marie McCord, 79, of Port Neches, Texas, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 11, 2024, in Elgin, Texas. Born on December 1, 1944, in Port Arthur, Texas, she lived a life characterized by love and devotion to her family, particularly her grandchildren, who brought her immense joy.

      June was a member of Central Baptist Church in Port Neches. She was a proud graduate of Port Neches Groves High School, having completed her studies in 1964. Known for her simplicity and warmth, she endeared herself to many through her kindness and gentle spirit. She had a passion for collecting angels and loved her western shows.

      She is survived by her devoted children, Thomas K. McCord, II and his wife Pia Satta, Schel Ruiz and her husband Daniel, Walter McCord and his wife Angel, James W.K. McCord, Jr., and Leona Ezell. June was a cherished grandmother to grandchildren: Cheyenne Roebuck, Danielle Zamora, Adelina SattaMcCord, Olivia SattaMcCord, and Mathias SattaMcCord, Logan McCord, Holden McCord, and Rebecca McCord; and two great grandchildren, Jacob Zamora and Mila Zamora. She is also survived by her loving niece, Donna Marshall.

      June was preceded in death by her parents, Yvonne (Sanarene) Bammert and Harry Bammert, as well as her brother, Thomas Bammert, sister, Joanne Bammert; and spouse, James W.K. McCord, Sr.

      Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on Thursday, October 17, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Melancon Levingston Funeral Home, located at 2001 Nall St, Port Neches, TX 77651. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 PM, at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, located at 618 Block Street, Port Neches, TX 77651.

      June Marie McCord's legacy of love will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

I remember Mrs. June from when we all went to fellowship Baptist many years ago. She was such a sweet lady and I'm glad I got to see her again a few years ago. I'm so sorry for y'all's loss, I know heaven has a special angel we will see again one day.
