I would like to send my condolences to Justin's family and friends. I had the honor and privilege of working closely with Justin for the last 18 months at Grant Thornton. I can honestly say they have been the best 18 months of my life. Justin was the guy that was always there for you, always looking out for you, and always there to help. My favorite memory of Justin was when he and I were on a business trip to Ohio and we spend the day at Cedar Point Amusement Park riding rides and talking about life. Rest in Peace Justin.Gone but not forgotten!Daniel Johnson

Oh how I loved Justin! He taught me to laugh so hard, live for fun, and love tremendously! But there was always a feeling that I didn't know what to call it. Justin knew what that feeling was and gave me a word for it. He called me a FOMO (fear of missing out) because he was to. We got lots of laughs over it.

Justin graduated from the Master of Science in Accounting program at Lamar while I was chair. Justin was one of those special students that you always remember. I can still hear his boisterous voice. He brought laughter and good cheer where ever he went. I was so excited for him when he received the job offer from GT. He was a bright dedicated young man and I knew he would do well. I know he will be missed by family, colleagues and friends. It is a great loss. Ann Watkins

What a great loss many are experiencing these days. Justin was such a kind, positive, compassionate man and we are proud and blessed to have called him our son-in-law. We are going to miss him like crazy. He loved traditional things like all of us in the kitchen cooking a big breakfast, everyone piling into our king size bed early in the morning making plans for the day, and his most favorite was putting on Phil Collins "In the Air Tonight" with us all chiming in. Praying for strength and on tough days relying on all our memories we have to put a smile on our face.

I wasn't able to attend as many family events as I would like to but when I could attend I would always be greeted by Justin with a big hug and asked "How have you been feeling?" This is a question I get asked often as a chronically ill person but usually it is not heartfelt and a "I'm fine" answer is expected. Not with Justin. He truly wanted to know and you could see it in his eyes. That is the kind of person Justin was. Very loving, caring and fun. I truly wanted to be able to spend more time with Justin and Lindsey. They are both very impotant to me. I still feel like I don't understand why he is gone. My thought is this. God may have known he would have struggles ahead healthwise or complications and Justin did not deserve a life of suffering. He was too special for that. He deserves peace. God gave him peace.
Lisa Marie January 12, 2016
Justin, you have left a huge hole in the Gaspard family. From the first day you came into Lindsey's life, you fit perfectly with us Gaspards. We miss you very much. Until we see each other again...
