JW Freeman

J W Freeman, 82, of Groves passed away Friday, July 17, 2015 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, Texas. He was born on November 18, 1932 in Oakdale, Louisiana to Rufus and Varie Freeman. J W had lived in Groves for over 57 years and was a member of Abundant Life Sanctuary. He worked as a boilermaker for Neches Butane and retired as a supervisor from Jefferson Chemical after over 30 years of service. JW was a United States Navy veteran. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 20, 2015 at Abundant Life Sanctuary, 2301 W. Parkway in Groves with Reverend David Myer officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Bluff Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will be Sunday afternoon from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. J W was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus and Varie Freeman, wife, June Freeman, brother, Alton Freeman and sister, Doris Marze. He is survived by his two daughters, Phyllis Trahan and husband, Ronald of Groves and Gaylene Holt and husband, Mark of Groves, two sons, Bryan Freeman and wife, Sheri of Ragley, LA and Darren Freeman and wife, Jana of Groves, nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
