Kaitlin Michelle Derese, 25, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2021 in Nederland, Texas. Kaitlin was born May 23, 1995 in Port Arthur, Texas to Lester Derese and Michelle Cormier Jones. Kaitlin had a likeable personality. She was outgoing, intelligent, and had a beautiful spirit. Kaitlin loved her dogs, Princess and Bella.

Kaitlin was preceded in death by her father, Aaron Lester Derese, Jr.; grandfathers, Aaron Lester Derese, Sr.; and Gary J. Cormier, I; grandmother, Ethel Fay Derese; niece, Lisa Cormier; and uncle, Wally J. Cormier.

Those left behind to cherish Kaitlin’s memory are her mother, Michelle Renee Jones of Port Arthur, TX; sister, Brandy Derese Mizelle and her husband, Stephen of Dallas, TX; brothers, Justin Derese and Dustin Derese of Dallas; and Johnny J. Broussard of Port Arthur, TX; grandmother, Lili Mae Cormier of Port Arthur, TX; and a host of friends, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Due to Covid-19 the family will have a memorial service for Kaitlin at a later date.
