Kathaline Shirey Greer, 77, of Beaumont, Texas passed away at her home on June 5, 2011. She was born November 17, 1933 in Cherokee County, Texas to the late Lawrence Maurice and Vera Ruth Wood Shirey. She worked as a Registered Nurse at the Baptist Hospital in Beaumont and was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Beaumont.A gathering of family and friends will be held at Melancon39s Funeral Home, 1605 Avenue H in Nederland on Thursday, June 9, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a funeral service at 7:00 p.m., Rev. David Cross officiating.She is survived by her son, John P. Greer, III of Beaumont daughter, Kathaline Loftin of Doucette 5 grandchildren and 11 greatgrandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents sister brother 4 children and 2 grandchildren.
