Katherine Rose Sorensen Frost, 56, of Lumberton, Texas passed away on Sunday, December 26, 2021, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, Texas with her loving family at her side.
Kathy was born on September 14, 1965, in New Iberia, Louisiana to Alice Borel Sorensen. She graduated from Nederland High School in 1983, was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church in Nederland, and was an office manager for various companies for many years. Kathy enjoyed traveling. She liked going to the beach where she loved to fish and go crabbing. More than anything, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends who she adored and they loved her dearly. Kathy was always the life of the party and was loved by everyone. Even through her battle with cancer, Kathy maintained the spirit of a fighter. Her love for her friends and family was fierce and unending. She would, without hesitation, give you the shirt off her back. We will forever cherish the memories of her infectious laughter.
Survivors include her husband Mark David Frost of Lumberton; her mother, Alice Borel Sorensen of Nederland; children, Megan Alyssa DeBauche and her husband Phillip of Cypress, Texas and Dalton Garrett Bretz and his wife Leah Robles both of Cypress; her only grandchild, Annabelle Bretz of Cypress; step children, Tyler Frost of Nederland, Caleb Frost and his wife Kathryn of Kingwood, Texas and Chloe Frost of Nederland; six brothers and sisters, Denny Sorensen and his wife Maura of Portage, Michigan, Cindy Burgess and her husband Tom of Cypress, John Sorensen of Lumberton, Heather Price and her husband Scott of Nederland, Mark Sorensen and his wife Charise of Nederland, and Angie Wright of Nederland. Kathy was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Chris Wright and nephew, Connor Sorensen.
A visitation will take place from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 30, 2021, at Melancon Funeral Home in Nederland. A Celebration of Life Service to Honor the life of Kathy Rose Sorensen Frost will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Melancon Funeral Home. Private Cremation Services will be held at a later date.
