Darlene McCall, a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on December 16, 2025, in Waco, Texas, at the age of 74. Darlene was born on April 12, 1951, in Port Arthur, Texas. She lived a life marked by love, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to her family and career in property management. Darlene was known for her caring and nurturing spirit. She was particularly devoted to her family, especially her son, Kelby McCall, and cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren, Kasen & Kalli. Attending the rodeo events of her grandchildren filled her heart with joy. Her love for craft shows also showcased her creative side, which she passionately pursued alongside her interests in sewing. Darlene found happiness in live singings, where she enjoyed the fellowship that music brought.

Throughout her career in property management, Darlene exhibited unrivaled dedication and commitment. She earned the respect and admiration of her colleagues and clients alike.

She was preceded in death by Malcolm Borne and Patricia Borne Hodges, stepfather J.W. Hodges, her sister Crystal Lynn Parmer, stepsister Susan Alston, and nephew Brian Borne.

She is survived by her son, Kelby McCall and his wife Mendi of Purmela, TX, her beloved grandchildren, Kasen McCall and wife Parker of Lufkin, TX, Kalli Henry and husband Kincade of Gatesville, TX, her brother Lonny Borne and his wife Becky of Tomball, TX, stepbrothers Danny Hodges and his wife Liz, Randy Hodges and his wife Robin, and her long-time best friend, Evelyn Bartish.

Darlene's memory will be honored with a visitation and funeral service at Nederland Apostolic Church, located at 1308 South 27th Street, Nederland, TX. The visitation will be held on December 22, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. A graveside service will follow.
