Kathleen (Kathy) Branham Ware, 76, of Port Neches went to be with the Lord on October 17, 2022, after a long battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family. Kathy was born in Baton Rouge, La on July 31, 1946, to Donovan and Eunice Branham. They moved to Leesville, La and then to Nederland, Texas in 1956 where she attended and graduated from Nederland High School. She married the love of her life, Donald Ware on June 6, 1964.
She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Donald Ware; daughter, Donna Ware of Beaumont; son, James Ware and wife, Paisley, Port Neches; grandchildren, Maegan Ware Henrick (Hunter) of St. George Utah, Christine Ware Stringer (Corey) of Beaumont, Jansen Ware of Pt. Neches; her sisters, Barbara Frazier (Jimmy) of Orange, Debra Bruce Poindexter (Douglas) of Nederland and Joyce Nail (Steve) of San Antonio; Sister-in-law, Darla Riley (Larry) of Princeton, Tx and extended family and friends.
Kathy was a full-time mom and wife. She loved children. Keeping all her grandkids when they were young was the joy of her life and continuing to support them as they grew up. She attended dance recitals and sporting events for each of them. She loved her Harley Motorcycle group and all the trips, parties, and the strong friendships she had with them. She was especially happy when at the lake house, on the boat fishing or eating with her many friends in the neighborhood. And of course, her favorite activity was going to garage sales. We will all remember her for those beautiful eyes and her happy personality. Happiness is not about getting all you want; it is about enjoying all you have and that was Kathy. Even with the challenges of cancer treatment she stayed positive and never gave up on tomorrow. She will be missed by all her family and friends.
