A Life Remembered

Obituary

It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Kenneth Doyle Hinds, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, businessman, and friend.

To those who knew him, he was a man of quiet strength. Tough as nails, hardworking, and fiercely independent, he believed in doing things his way and accepting whatever came from it. He didn't seek attention, and he wasn't one to wear his heart on his sleeve. But beneath that tough exterior was a man with a sharp sense of humor, unwavering loyalty, and a deep love for his family.

He was the proud co-owner of Hinds Fence along with his brother, Micki, where his name on the side of the truck represented far more than a business. It represented integrity, hard work, and a commitment to providing for his family. He loved a good inside joke and had a way of making those closest to him laugh. He was a protector in every sense of the word. Right or wrong, he had your back. That fierce loyalty was one of the greatest gifts he gave those he loved.

He shared a lifelong love with his wife, Cynthia, who was truly the center of his world. Their marriage was built on devotion, perseverance, and unwavering commitment through every season of life. She stood beside him through every challenge, and together they built a family that was his greatest source of pride. He was a proud father to Jaime and Jason and found immeasurable joy in being "Pop" to his grandchildren, Ross and Raegan. They will forever remember his stories, his humor, his wisdom, and the quiet ways he showed his love.

He is preceded in death by his father, A.R., and survived by Mother, Glory, his beloved wife, Cynthia; his children, Jaime and her husband Troy, and Jason and his wife Amy; his grandchildren, Ross and Raegan; his brother, Micki and his wife, Holly; his sister, Rhonda and her husband, Eddie and a gaggle of nieces and nephews.

His family will remember him sitting on the patio with a cigar regardless of the Texas heat, teaching life lessons that often came without many words, and showing them every day that love is measured more by actions than by speeches.

His legacy lives on in the family he loved so deeply, the business he built with pride, the values he instilled, and the countless memories shared by all who knew him.

A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, July 19th, starting with a visitation at 1:00 pm and the service at 2:00 pm, at Melancon Levingston Funeral Home, 2001 Nall Street, Port Neches,.

Though he will be deeply missed, his family takes comfort in knowing that he is in safely in Heaven, his strength, humor, work ethic, and steadfast love that defined his life will continue through the generations that follow.

Cynthia, please accept our heartfelt sympathy on Kenny's passing. You are most certainly in our thoughts and prayers. Kenny was 2 years my senior in school and he was always so kind to me. I always knew that if the older guys started to haze my friends and I, all we had to do was find Kenny and hang around wherever he was. He was definitely our "Fonzy". I'm sure I'm not the only one of our childhood friends who will miss him. He was absolutely one of a kind. Love to you all.
