Ken Pendergrass was my employee for 22 years. Ken will no longer be able to tell us stories about Donna bringing another dog home or Michelle playing baseball. But we will always cherish the ones we have already heard. I extended my deepest condolences to Donna and the family. Thank you for sharing Ken with us. Hey Boss (as Ken would say) Ellen Clark

Ken could teach a group of scientists to perform a specific analysis or a group of engineers to build a piece of equipment. He worked numerous hours and would joke that because of his knees he just wasnt as quick as he used to be. And when I inquired who did this? He would mock that "Christy Did It". If I would say that we were going to do something, he would place his little stuffed mouse on his shoulder to remind me that I really meant that he would. Ken would poke fun at anyone that came into the lab. Michelle held a very special place in Ken's heart and I sincerely hope the adults in her life step up to insure that her grandfathers dreams for her are accomplished.

This is to honor my dearest friend, Ken. He was my co-worker for 17 1/2 years and I will truly miss him. I knew I could always count on Ken to always be there if I needed someone to talk to when I was down. He always knew how to make me see the bright side of the story. We shared many laughs together, we talked about our dogs, and familys. He was especially proud of becoming a grandfather to Michelle. He loved telling me about her and her activities she was involved in. I'm sure he will be watching over her and all of the ones he loved. I will miss calling him after the "Amazing Race". We would watch that show, then either call one another or talk about it the next day at work, and always compare notes on what "task" each one of us would attempt. There are so many memories that I have of Ken that I will cherish forever, after all, I considered him my best friend and I will truly and deeply miss him.

This tribute is to honor a man who was so much more than what most people knew. I had the great pleasure of not only getting to meet and know him but to be accepted into his family and heart. He was so much more than that to me. He was my dad. He taught me so many things that no one else could have taught me. I will forever miss him. Even though his gone from this physical world I know in my heart and soul that he is still here watching over all of his loved ones. I also know that his spirit will remain with my daughter and at this time his only granddaughter to help guide her in the right directiolns and to care for her when we are unable to help her. I know that he will be there. Dad was there for me when I did not know where to turn. No matter what I would ask dad to help me with he would figure out how to help me get it done. He always made extra time for Michelle (his granddaughter). It didn't matter how tired he was he would get down and play blocks or go outside and teach her how to play baseball. He will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him. I am asking everyone that who knew Ken to please send any memories that you have about Ken I am going to put these memories into a book for his granddaughter so that even though he is not here his granddaughter can still know her papa and in a small way he will always be close to her heart. Please help me to fullfil this small favor that I am asking each one of you. My daughter and myself would be so grateful for your help on this small project. I have attached my facebook profile, you can use facebook to send me any information that you wish to share through a private message. Again, thank you for help. Keep the memory of Ken alive and never forget what a wonderful person he truely was.
