Kenneth Ray Taylor Sr., 81, of Nederland, passed away on January 8, 2023, at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont, Texas.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, January 12, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 11, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves.
Kenneth was born in Port Arthur, Texas, on October 14, 1941, he was the son of John and Ruby Taylor. Kenneth was married to the love of his life Marian Taylor for sixty-one years. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1959 and then went to college at Lamar. He served in the United States Army Reserve. He always managed two full time careers at Dupont Refinery along with owning an accounting business, Computer Business Service. He retired early from his professional careers to continue his favorite job being Grandpa. He enjoyed mentoring and encouraging his grandchildren. He always made donations to different organizations to help people. His top priorities were St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. During his free time, he loved being at the lake.
He was preceded in death by his brother, John Taylor, and his grandson, Bobby Taylor.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-one years Marian Taylor of Nederland, TX; his son, Kenneth Ray Taylor Jr. and his wife Kasey of Nederland, TX; his daughter, Liz Taylor Rowley of Nederland, TX; seven grandchildren, Tabatha Bach, Kenneth “Trace” Taylor, Kayla Taylor, Dylan Rowley, Willie Rowley, Jake Rowley, and Zach Rowley; six great-grandchildren, and three cousins who were all treated like brother and sisters.
