Coach Watson was a wonderful coach, mentor, and a Christian man in every way. He had a powerful positive effect on my life and many other players he coached. He taught us so much more than football. As a father and a grandfather, I have frequently remembered the example he set for me.

I am sadden tro hear of Coach Watson's passing. My sincere condolences to all of his family. When I was a student at Groves Junior High, I had heard about Coach Watson's legacy as a football player. And, then at PN-G, his feats there too. He was an assistant coach when I entered PN-G High School. He will be up there in that PN-G Indian reservation in the sky.
