Kermit Joseph Davis, 48, of Nederland, Texas passed away May 8, 2013. He was born in Beaumont, Texas on June 17, 1964 to Danny Sr. and Janet Barrilleaux Davis.Funeral services will be held at Melancons Funeral Home in Nederland on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at 2:00 p.m., Msgr. Bennie Patillo officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County in Nederland. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the funeral home on Monday, May 13, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m.Kermit is preceded in death by his father, Danny Davis, Sr. and grandparents, Kermit and Virginia Barrilleaux, William Price Davis, and Inez Hebert. He is survived by his mother, Janet Barrilleaux Davis of Nederland children, Tiffany Smith of Nederland, Wesley Davis of Nederland, and Kandice Varela of Bridge City brothers, Danny Davis, Jr. of Fannett, Bill Davis of Nederland, and Chris Davis of Nederland grandchildren, Veston Smith, Silas Smith, Kennedy Davis, and Addison Varela girlfriend, Wendy King of Nederland and his friend, his dog, Chicken Wing.
