Kevin Baxter

Kevin Baxter, 42, of Groves, Texas passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2015. Kevin was born January 14, 1973 in Port Arthur, Texas and was a lifelong area resident. He was an engineering designer and U.S. Air Force veteran. He was preceded in death by his mother Phyllis Smith Kroh, father James Baxter, and grandmother Maxine Smith. Kevin is survived by his step-brother, Brian Todd of Montgomery, Alabama. A graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches with Reverend Clay Faulk officiating under the direction of Levingston Funeral Home in Groves.

Kevin was a good guy and good friend and good neighbor...he got along well with me and my kids when we lived next door. May he rest in peace.

Brian, It saddened me to read about Kevin's passing. I thought of Kev often wondering how he was doing. I can never forget the history we did have. Some good times. I know now he doesn't hurt anymore. So sorry for your loss. Sincerely, Charlene

My sincere condolences to the family members during this difficult time. I just want to share a scripture that has strengthened me when I lost loved one. I pray it soothe the pain you are experiencing, and give you strength to continue to cope. Isaiah 41:10 "Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not gaze about, for I am your God. I will fortify you. Kevin and I were elementary school friends and boyfriend/girlfriend too during that time. He was so sweet and funny and cute and caring and considerateand giving! I will really miss him!! So many people will miss him greatly!!! Rest in peace, Kevin. Gone but not forgotten!
