Kevin Boland, 50, of Lumberton, Texas formerly of Nederland passed away on April 25, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and generosity that will forever be remembered by those whose lives he touched.
Born on August 24, 1973, in Dallas, Texas, Kevin was the son of Gail (Young) Boland and Jimmie Boland. Throughout his life, Kevin exemplified an outgoing and humorous personality, always ready with a witty remark or sarcastic quip. His willingness to help others knew no bounds, as he dedicated himself to making a difference in the lives of those around him.
Kevin's career as a boat Captain spanned twenty-five years, during which time he navigated the waters with skill and passion. His love for the sea was matched only by his compassion for others. Despite not having children of his own, Kevin had a special place in his heart for kids. He never missed an opportunity to brighten their day with thoughtful gifts, embodying the true spirit of generosity.
Beyond his career, Kevin found joy in simple pleasures like golfing, fishing, and hunting. These hobbies brought him solace and allowed him to connect with nature in profound ways. His love for animals was evident to all who knew him, reflecting his gentle and caring nature.
Kevin was preceded in death by his mother, Gail Ann Vance; father, Jimmie A. Boland, Sr.; and his sister, Janet Boland Montoya.
In addition to his professional accomplishments and hobbies, Kevin cherished his family deeply. He is survived by his wife of twenty years, Deena Boland of Lumberton, Texas; his brothers, Jimmie Boland Jr. of Nederland, Texas; and Jerry Alan Boland and his wife Toni of Athens, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A man of integrity and warmth, Kevin Boland's memory will live on through the countless lives he enriched with his presence. The family will be receiving friends from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m., with a Celebration of Kevin's Life to begin at 1:00 p.m., at Melancon Levingston Funeral Home in Nederland, to honor Kevin's remarkable journey and enduring legacy.
