Awe Sis. Anita I have so many beautiful memories of you from Faith Tabernacle. As a young girl I remember vividly how kind & sweet you were to me. I always loved when you would sing "Go ahead". I also have some comical memories of you in skits on the ladies trips. You were so funny & fun. Above all your ultimate goal was the joy of hearing the Master say, "Well done, good and faithful servant."

Anita always treated me like a son, and reminded me often that she was my 2nd Mom.

I came into the Jones ' family in 1969 when I married your baby sister, LaDonna. I remember how there was so much love and unity. You would get on that piano, play, and sing with your siblings, and have a joyful time. You and James reared some beautiful children, and they reared some wonderful grandchildren for you. Go rest high, Anita.

It is so difficult to put into words what time spent in your home each summer, meant to me and my sister. We rotated days between you, Aunt LaDonna, and Aunt Marvel. I am sure y'all had your hands full, but loved us like your own. My favorite memories of Aunt Nita, cooking our favorite foods, watching Jimmy at his boy scout competitions, followed by ice cold watermelon! And letting us stay up as late as we wanted. Eventually everything said had us collapsing with the giggles 😃 & you gently suggested sleep. For many years we spoke on my birthday, never ending the conversation without telling me of her precious family and how they were doing. Absolutely will always love and miss you, give my daddy a big hug.

My Gram, a wonderful grandmother and someone who led by example. It is very difficult to put in words how impactful you were in my life - sharing your endless support and wisdom through your time here. I will cherish all of our memories together. From Monday night dinners, to weekends spent with Grandpa Joe in Shreveport, and our endless talks. "There's no used to hurry!" will always be a memory of us saying goodbye to each other. You will be missed dearly, but I know you are at peace. Rejoice with the Lord, your long awaited relatives and Gramps!

Sister Anita, I’ll always remember your song you were known for, “Go Ahead”. It always blessed our church when you sang it. I was always encouraged to keep on fighting the good fight. I’m so glad you’ve finished your course and kept the faith. I know we’ll meet again some day!

Many good memories I have to treasure of the best sister a sibling could ask for. You reminded me often of packing me around on your hip when I was born and you were 12 years old. You left a void in my heart by going to your final resting place but I would never call you back !! You had many loved ones over there but most of all Jesus was waiting for you . After all this was the day that you lived for. I won’t say goodbye but so long for now until we meet again. Rest in peace since all your frustrations and sufferings have ended. Love you sis!!
