LaPrelle Sue Stewart LeBlanc, 87, of Bevil Oaks, Texas passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at Christus-St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. She was born on June 26, 1927 in Browndell, Texas to the late Ed Stone Stewart and Nancy Glen Stewart.

Sue is survived by her husband, Paul S. LeBlanc, Jr. of Bevil Oaks, TX; daughter, Paula Rossi of Beaumont, TX; son, Ned A. LeBlanc and wife, Vicki of Beaumont, TX; grandchildren, Brandan Rossi and wife, Brittany, and Meagan Robin and husband, David; great-grandchildren, Baylee Rossi and Tripp Robin; one brother and one sister. She is also survived by numerous family and friends. Sue is preceded in death by her parents; one sister and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home, 1605 Avenue H in Nederland on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of the family and friends will be held on Monday, July 7, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Sue and Paul have been our dear neighbors for over 30 years. Sue will be missed ! My best memory of Sue is when I had my first baby he brought over a strawberry cake with strawberry icing and strawberries on top. I took that Cake and ate every bite by myself. Best cake I have or had in my life. The LeBlanc's have been the best neighbors. Love and so sorry for your loss Paul and family. Robin, Herman, Grant and Annaliese Gerhardt

I have so many fond memories of Sue and the family, at times she felt like a mom to me. I stayed at her house a lot with her daughter Paula, but the three of us hung out like kids together. I will never forget her home and she always would make me coffee milk to enjoy with her. I had a lot of brothers and sisters, so sometimes I wasn't as fortunate to get new dresses of my own, Sue shared many of such with me. Sue always made me feel so welcome. I loved her and her family. Her and my family were very close, we were like family. She will be missed tremendously I know. I just pray for her and the family and that she is at peace. Love you Sue. Dixie
