I am very sorry to hear of Larry's passing...he was a dutiful civic and religious leader and an inspiration to many. Heaven has gained another Angel of Mercy who is sitting On High, we are left with a hole in our heart...May he rest in Eternal Bliss. We constantly had wrong numbers call us because we shared the same name, city and CYO Advisor/Director and other Catholic works.

Alan, please accept my deepest condolences to you and your family. 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

Mr. Guilbeaux was a fine man. One of the best. And he loved his kids and especially time at ball fields watching his grandkids play ball. He always had something positive to say. He was always out there, supporting all the kids playing, and building everybody up, whether you were on his team or the other one. Condolences to all the Guilbeaux, Rayburns, Guidry's. Mr Guilbeaux was one of a kind. Thanks for sharing him with us, and i know you all will miss him.

To Larry's Family,
I knew "of" Larry since we were parishioners of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. Then on my ACTS Retreat Feb. 2010 is when I bonded with Larry. Because of Larry's sharing about service I am now active in ACTS, St. Kolbe Prison Ministry, active in the parish, and was re-instated in our Port Neches KC council. All because of you Larry, all because of you. You touched my heart to the core and motivated me to get off my behind and "start livin' or start dyin" (phrase form the movie "Shawshank Redemption"), and be Jesus to those around me. Larry was a true living model of service to mankind and building the Kingdom of God here and now. Larry, you fought the good fight, you have won the race! Today all Heaven rejoices for you have come home and you are now forever in God's presence and praising and adoring Jesus, Our Lord and Savior! I think you will cook up a few pot's of your out of this world shrimp Gumbo too! May God hold you in His hands for you are finally home now, Larry. Our world has lost a great warrior for Christ, but heaven has gained another saint! Who among us will fill your shoes, Larry. As for Me, a will try, I will try, my Brother. I love you my Brother.

Larry was a really good man, a hard worker, and a great builder. Judging by his two daughters and his wife that I have come to know, he must have been an exceptional father and husband. I greatly enjoyed the times I got to work with him at the theatre. Recital and "Babes" just won't be quite the same.
Rest in Peace my friend.
