Larry King, 96, of Broaddus, Texas, passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at his grandson’s residence in Orange.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Orange First Church of the Nazarene, in Orange, Texas. Officiating will be Reverend Shane Weaver and Reverend Shawn Hall.

Visitation will be held prior to the services on Thursday, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Orange First Church of the Nazarene in Orange, Texas.

Larry was born in Gulfport, Mississippi on October 6, 1927. He was the son of George and Elsie King. He served in the Merchant Marines during World War II, afterward working for Texaco rising to the rank of First Mate before retiring.

Larry is survived by his loving wife, Mary Lou King of Broaddus, TX. He is also survived by his three sons, and one daughter: Jim King and his wife Cory of Missouri City, TX; Debbie Hall of Orange, TX; Dale King and his wife Susan of Zebulon, NC; and Gary King and his wife Pam of Kennard, Tx; sixteen grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
