Larry Clifford Sims, 69, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away Monday, May 23, 2011 at Renaissance Hospital in Groves, Texas. Larry was longtime area resident and was a retired truck driver. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford B. Sims and Aline B. Morgan Sims. Survivors include his two sisters, Gay Hardcastle and husband, Earl and Marilyn Roderick; two brothers, Howard Sims and Jack Sims; and aunt Bobbie Morgan. The family has requested direct cremation with no services.

I only had the pleasure of meeting Larry once. I don't know much about him, at all, but I DO know this...he fathered the most amazing woman I've ever met...his daughter, April...my very best friend! So, thank you, Larry...you have left behind a very precious gift for me to love and cherish, and I'm eternally grateful!mBuji

Will Miss Larry , my brother, known to most of his Port Arthur friends as Larry Joe. Now a resident of Salina Kansas, i wasnt able to visit Larry down in the Port Arthur area as much as i would have liked. But like a lot of other folks, he lives wihin our hearts until we meet again.

I will miss my grandpa Larry. I will miss talking to him on the phone and his crazy stories.
