Laura Boyd, 94, of Groves, Texas passed away Friday, January 25, 2019 at Oak Grove Nursing Home. She was born January 13, 1925 in Port Arthur, Texas to Michael Nicholas and Elia Touchet Nicholas. Laura was a lifelong area resident and member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Wilbur Young Boyd, son, Phillip Alan Boyd and sister, Dorothy Gann. Laura is survived by her daughter, Pamela Boyd Nutt and husband David of Deer Park, Texas, two sons, Jim Boyd of Montgomery, Texas and Jeff Boyd and wife Roxanne of Bridge City, Texas, sister, Hazel Van de Hoef of Nederland, Texas, brother, Michael Nicholas and wife Lora Mae of Beaumont, Texas, nine grandchildren, Phillip Boyd, Ashley Bloomfield, Jeffrey Nutt, Kristin Mueller, Brian Boyd, Brycen Boyd, Blake Boyd, Lauren Boyd, and Brent Boyd and eleven great grandchildren. The family plans a Celebration of Life to be held at a later date to honor Laura.
