Laura Marie Jones, 51, of Groves, Texas passed away Saturday, August 25, 2018. Laura was born November 11, 1966 in Holyoke, Massachusetts. She was a resident of Groves for 30 years and member of Central Baptist Church. Laura was an executive secretary for Groves Pallet Company. She was preceded in death by her father, Marcel Poirier, and brother, Brian Poirier. Survivors include her husband Rory K. Jones of Groves, TX; mother and step-father, Beverly and Henry Maciejko of Henderson, NY; daughters, Jessica Valka and husband Shawn of Nederland, TX and Julia Jones of Groves, TX; sisters, Marcy Poirier of Port Neches, TX and Nical Poirier of Groves, TX; brother, Randy Poirier of Beaumont, TX; mother-in-law, Charlotte Jones of Groves, TX; sisters-in-law, Wendi Christian and husband Blaine of Groves, TX and Debbie Poirier; brother-in-law, Jon Jones and wife Darla of Port Neches, TX; grandchildren, Brynley Valka, Eli Valka, and Bentley Jones; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends; best friends, Catherine Ball, Janet Waterfield, and Tammy Swindall. A visitation for family and friends will begin at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves followed by the memorial service at 4:00 p.m., with Reverend Phil Sigman officiating.
