Lavelle Loyd HoganLove for life and believer of eternal life, Lavelle Loyd Hogan born August 28, 1931 answered the call to join our Lord Jesus Christ on July 18, 2012. A devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother is preceded in death by many, including her husband of 62 years, A. C. Hogan and her mother Etoila Loyd. Lavelle leaves behind four daughters, Ramona Metts and husband Jim, Lana Flory, Becky Pope and husband Donny, and Paula Baker and husband Ken nine grandchildren seventeen greatgrandchildren and one greatgreatgranddaughter two sisters, Lois McKee and Dot Walker and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She will be remembered by her many acts of kindness, her zeal for life, and her love to all.Visitation for family and friends will be held at the First United Methodist Church, 104 N. 13th Street, Nederland, TX 77627 Friday, July 20, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will also be held at First United Methodist Church in Nederland on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. officiated by Rev. Malcolm Monroe with interment to follow at the Kirbyville City Cemetery in Kirbyville, TX under the ion of Melancons Funeral Home in Nederland. Memorials in honor of Lavelles life should be ed to the First United Methodist Church.
