Layson Lionel Richard, Jr., 66, of Nederland, Texas died April 1, 2013 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, Texas. Layson was born February 1, 1947 in Church Point, Louisiana to Layson Lionel Richard, Sr. and Viola Miller Richard. He was a resident of this area for 58 years and a member of St. Charles Catholic Church in Nederland and Nederland Knights of Columbus #5145. He was a retired Chevron Operator and a US Air Force Veteran. A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, April 5, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Charles Catholic Church in Nederland with Reverend Monsignor Dan Malain officiating. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Richard. Surviving relatives include two sons, Layson Lionel Richard III of Nederland, Texas; Aaron Richard of Nederland, Texas; brothers, Bobby Richard and wife Sharon of Mont Belvieu, Texas; Eugene P. Richard and wife Cathy of Nederland, Texas; several nieces and nephews.
