Lee Roy J. Tomplait, 83, of Port Acres, passed away Monday, May 28, 2012 at Christus Hospital St. Mary in Port Arthur.Lee Roy was born December 7, 1928 in Port Arthur to Vencia and Eunice Tomplait, and lived all of his life in Port Acres. He retired from Texaco Refinery in Port Arthur as a night foreman after many years of service. Lee Roy was a member of St. Therese, the Little Flower of Jesus Catholic Church in Port Acres.A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Thursday, May 31, 2012 at St. Therese, the Little Flower of Jesus Catholic Church in Port Acres, with Rev. Rejimon E. George officiating, with interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves under the ion of Melancon39s in Nederland. A gathering of the family will be from 5 to 8 PM Wednesday, May 30, 2012 with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM at the funeral home.Lee Roy was preceded in death by his parents his wife, Josephine Tomplait also brother and sisterinlaw, Curtis and Margaret Tomplait also his sisterinlaw, Ester Tomplait. He is survived by his sons, Michael Tomplait and his wife, Deborah of Nederland, and Vince Tomplait and his fianceacute, Angela Phelps of Port Acres his brothers, James Tomplait and Larry Tomplait and his wife Mary, all of Port Acres his grandson, Jeremy Tomplait of Houston his great grandchildren Dalton MearsTomplait of Lumberton, Conner Tomplait of Houston, and Julia Tomplait of Houston his nieces and nephews, Deborah , Gary, Randy, Diane, Jimmy, Johnny, Andrea, Sherry, Terry, and Susan several greatnieces and nephews and also his friend and companion Boo Dog.

Im sorry to hear about the loss of Leroy. I knew him very well during my working days at theTexaco Refinery. He was actually my supervisor for a while during his tenor as Head Foreman of the Gas PlantsStabilizers and as Night Foreman. He was a good man and a family man..He loved the refinery and he loved Texaco. He will be missed.
