Lee Jefferson Timaeus was born to John Lee Timaeus and Lillie Engles Timaeus in Temple, TX on April 28, 1927. He passed away peacefully at his home August 17, 2012. Lee graduated from Temple High School and enlisted in the U.S. Navy at age 17. He served in the Pacific arena during WWII until August 1946. Lee worked for the Santa Fe Railroad and attended Texas A&M College after the war, receiving a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He worked at Texaco for 27 years, including over 8 years in Saudi, Arabia. Lee is survived by his wife, Bonnie Sturrock Timaeus, by children: Dana Lee Timaeus and wife Kay, Rachel Timaeus Dobson and husband 1. K. (Beau), John A. Timaeus; stepchildren William A. Smith and wife Pam, Bruce Smith and wife Ann, George C. Sturrock and wife Amber, Kaylani Sturrock Lea and husband Mark. He had nine grandchildren and one great grandchild. A memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church in Port Neches on Monday, August 20, 2012 at 2pm under the direction of Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches. Gifts to the church in lieu of flowers are requested.
