Lela Beatrice Turner, 91, of Groves, Texas passed away Friday, May 14, 2010 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, Texas. Beatrice was born August 23, 1918 in Hufsmith, Texas to William Matthew and Alpha Ware Matthew. She was a resident of Groves for 60 years and member of Gulf Avenue Church of Christ. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 17, 2010 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Mr. Dale LeBlanc officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday evening from 6:00p.m.-8:00p.m. at the funeral home. Survivors include her daughter, Jane Johnson-Baran and husband, Jay of Groves; two grandchildren, James Ray Turner of Nederland and Lela Johnson of Friendswood; numerous nieces and nephews.
