Lennie Ray Allen, 87, of Port Neches, Texas passed away on Friday, January 25, 2019. He was born in Beaumont, Texas on March 10, 1931 to the late Chester Allen and Vera Hayes Allen. Lennie retired after 30 plus years of service to Reliance/Eagle Electric as a salesman. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Port Neches.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 63 years, Nelda Allen of Port Neches; his son, Mark Allen and his wife, Beverly of Nederland; his daughter, Lynell Smith and her husband, Derrell of Nederland; his brothers, Darwin Allen of Beaumont and Phillip Allen and his wife, Chris of Newton; his grandchildren, Christina Shirley and her husband, Ben of China, Carly Barton and her husband, Aaron of Nederland, Damien Allen of Beaumont, and Summer Tanner and her husband, Josh of Nederland; and 14 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Jeanette Gilbeaux; and his brothers, James Harvey Allen and Larry Allen.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a memorial service at 6:00 p.m., Rev. Jason Martin officiant.
